Privacy policy
Effective October 22, 2026. GeoWiz is made by SnackSafe Inc. for children and their families.
The short version
GeoWiz does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.
What stays on your device
Each explorer profile holds a nickname, the avatar the child designed, and their learning progress (points, stars and which flags, states and capitals they know). This lives only on your device. We never receive it.
If you turn on iCloud sync in the grown-up area (coming in a later version), this data is stored in your own private iCloud account so your family's devices stay in step. Apple stores it; we cannot see it.
What we do not do
- No ads and no ad networks.
- No third-party analytics or tracking code.
- No accounts, sign-ins, email addresses, birthdays or photos.
- No chat, no social features and no contact with strangers.
- No camera or location access. The microphone is only used if a child chooses Apple's on-device dictation to type a name.
Apple's aggregate statistics
If you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us aggregate, anonymous numbers such as installs and crash reports. These do not identify you or your child.
Children's privacy
Because we collect no personal information, GeoWiz meets the requirements of the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR's rules for children by design. Anything that leaves the app, such as rating it on the App Store, sits behind a parent gate.
